IPhone OS4 Released Today

YEAH, New IPhone software. Not really. For many ipod touch users they didn't include multitasking or backgrounds. And I belive these new features are only on IPhone 3G's. Anyways the new software comes equiped with a few new features such as

  • Multitasking
  • Background on homescreens
  • updated icons (new look and feel)
  • FREE to update (unlike previous updates)
  • When on the search bar your able to sarch the web
And there is much, much more. Personally i'm loving the update except im an ipod touch user and i can't get multitasking and the background change witch is pretty dissapointing. Oh well, you'll just have to download the update and see for yourself the real potential of the IOS4!

Xbox announces "Project Kinect"

On the night of June 13th, 2010 at the beginning of the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in Los Angeles Xbox officially announced Kinect for the Xbox 360. Now, in the past this "project" was given the name "Project Natal" which wasn't a very good name in the beginning. Now renamed and finally announced we can visally see the full potential of the Xbox 360 Kinect. If you don't know what Kinect is or haven't seen it yet it is basically wii without the wii motes. That's right your the controller. This works through the xbox camera, it tracks your movements and it senses them and trafers that movement to a character on the screen. (watch the video below if you still dont understand). But, this project will be competing against Playstations, Playstation Move. Which will be very similar to wii with two wireless sticks. This project still has quite alot of time before it's store debut. It is expected to launch sometime near the holiday seasons of 2011.

Nintendo 3DS

The Nintendo 3DS was just recently announced by Nintendo on March 23rd, 2010. The Nintendo 3DS was officially presented on June 15th, 2010 at the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo). Nintendo is planning to release this device around March of 2011. It will have two video cameras on the top of the device if you want to send "3D" pictures to your friends. Also, you may have noticeed in the picture above that the device will contain a anolog stick. The anolog stick is going to be placed where the d-pad was placed on the Nintendo DSi.

The top screen is going to be the only "3D" screen on the 3DS. Meaning the top screen should be the main focus of your eyes, and it is. The top screen measures 3.5" (a tiny bit bigger then the iphone or ipod touch screen) and the bottom screen is 3". They keep the bottom screen a full touch screen and it isn't a "3D" screen. The top screen on the 3DS is 11% bigger then the screen originally was on the Nintendo DS Lite, but the bottom screen is 3.2% smaller. It also has a gyroscope and an accelerometer meaning it can register movements forward, up and down, side ways etc... so the game designers are most likely going to incorperate that in alot of the newer games built for this machine.
